  • Technical Data: Internet Protocol (IP) address, operating system type and version, browser type, device identifiers, and mobile network information.
3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To Provide and Maintain the Services: To process lecture audio, generate accurate notes and quizzes, personalize your learning experience, and fulfill your requests.

4. Disclosure and Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data, especially your lecture content, to third parties. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We engage third-party companies and individuals to perform services on our behalf (e.g., cloud hosting, data storage, analytics). These providers are contractually obligated to handle data securely and confidentially and are prohibited from using your personal data for any purpose other than providing services to us.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (i) comply with a legal obligation; (ii) protect and defend the rights or property of Aaram Inc.; (iii) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Services or the public; or (iv) protect against legal liability.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity as part of the transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice on our website of any change in ownership or uses of your personal data.
  • With Your Consent: We may share your information with any third party where you have provided explicit consent for us to do so.
5. Data Security and Retention

Security: We implement technical, administrative, and physical security measures to protect your personal data, particularly lecture content, from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage is ever completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Retention: We retain your personal data and lecture content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Services. If you delete your account, we will initiate steps to delete your personal data within [e.g., 90 days], unless retention is necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

6. User Responsibility for Recording Laws

You are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary consent, permissions, and rights required by local, state, and federal laws to record and submit any audio content, including lectures, through the Services. You acknowledge that different jurisdictions have different rules regarding consent for audio recording (e.g., one-party vs. all-party consent). We assume no responsibility or liability for your compliance with these laws or for how you utilize the Services to create, share, or use recorded content.

7. Limitation of Legal Liability and Disclaimer

Disclaimer of Warranties: THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THE USE OF THE SERVICES WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.

THIS LIMITATION APPLIES WHETHER THE ALLEGED LIABILITY IS BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER BASIS, EVEN IF AARAM INC. HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.
